Hannibal is under new managment!

Hannibals on the Jazz is not the most frequently updated blog - even though "busyness is not an excuse"!!

So, while Hannibal does other things!!

Mrs Hannibal has been given the "secret" password (hang on how many of us know it !?!?) and has taken over blogging.

Check out Hannibals On the Jazz to see the recent updates of Kate's first trip to the "Big Smoke".

These are a few of my favourite things....

Its Sunday afternoon so guess what I spent a relaxing afternoon watching? One of my fav films "The Sound of Music"!

A classic romantic film - with singing!! Love it!

Anyway, for those of you who haven't seen it (where have you been!?) Maria sings to the children during a particularly nasty thunder storm,

"Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens.
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens.
Brown paper packages tied up with string.
These are a few of my favourite things."

(Admit it, who didn't just sing that verse to them self!!)

So it got me thinking, what are my favourite things - well here are just 5 of them (not in any particular order) -
An evening with friends
Laughing so much your sides hurt!
Tulips
My niece Kate's smile : )
Singing

Now its your turn - what are 5 of your favourite things? I'd like to know : )

A quiet night in...

Andy and Ruth had a belated Valentine's Evening tonight leaving me to babysit my beautiful neice Kate.

They went to see "Hot Fuzz" at the cinema -

Ruth's rating 10/10, Andy's rating 9/10 (it wasn't as funny as Shaun of the Dead apparently!!!)

Kate and I had a lovely evening - bottle, playtime and cuddles and more bottle before in to the dreampod sleeping bag and off to bed.

Kate was a good girl and was tucked up and in the land of dreams before mummy and daddy came home with Chinese for us all to share.

We spent the rest of the evening watching tv together, before I went home to my own "dreampod"!!

Thanks Andy and Ruth for a lovely evening - just what I needed xxx

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day evening was spent with friends... sadly we were missing a few. Carol and Mark favoured a cosy night in (can't blame them for that!), Kosta, Amy's boyfriend (pictured left) is in Greece doing his National Service and Ilias (pictured centre) was leaving early Thursday morning to return to Greece for his sister's "Big fat Greek Wedding"!!

That just left Nikos ... and wasn't he a lucky lad as he had 3 lovely ladies (Amy, Kate and myself) to spend his Valentine's day with!!

Unfortunately, Nikos was a "little" bit late arriving home from work and so our meal (that was very expertly cooked by him) was also a "little" bit late!! Around 10 pm ish!

BUT, when it arrived it was fab!

It was my first Greek meal and I enjoyed it very much.

Praise goes to the Master Chef, Dr Nikos - he can cook again for us anytime although maybe next time, we'll start a bit earlier in the day, and maybe on a Saturday instead of a school night!!

To Blog or Not to Blog....that is the question!

And the answer... Yes! Finally, after months of deliberating, I've decided to enter the world of bloggers! Spurred on by Steve and Jen's new blog I've finally created my own!

More postings to follow shortly, but my main aim is to update more frequently than my bro "Hannibal"!!!

Check back later to see the updated blog site xxxx
